Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Nory IVI Kit?
The Nory IVI Kit is a fertility specialist–designed at-home insemination kit, based on the scientific process of Intravaginal Insemination (IVI). It allows couples to perform insemination safely, comfortably, and privately at home using a soft, sterile, medical-grade 17 cm catheter that helps deposit semen near the cervix for natural conception.
Can I use lubricants with the kit?
It's advisable to avoid using lubricants during the insemination process, as some can be toxic to sperm and may reduce motility. If lubrication is necessary, ensure it's sperm-friendly like Nory fertility friendly lube.
Is Nory IVI Kit safe to use ?
Yes, the Nory At-Home Self Insemination IVI Kit is designed to be safe for use and comes in safe sterile packing
How do I use the Nory IVI Kit?
The kit comes with a detailed instruction manual outlining the step-by-step process. Generally, the procedure involves collecting sperm in the provided cup, drawing it into a syringe, and using the catheter to deposit it into the vaginal canal. It's recommended to lie down for 15–30 minutes post-insemination to enhance sperm mobility.
Is the kit safe to use?
Yes, the Nory IVI Kit is designed with safety in mind. All components are made from medical-grade, non-toxic materials. The kit is intended for single-use to maintain sterility and reduce the risk of infection.
When should I perform the insemination?
Insemination should be timed around your ovulation period for the best chance of conception. Ovulation typically occurs mid-cycle, but it's advisable to track your ovulation using ovulation predictor kits or consult with a healthcare provider for accurate timing.
How many cycles can I use the kit for?
The Nory IVI Kit includes 5 catheters and 5 syringes, designed for use over multiple cycles. However, it's recommended to use a new catheter and syringe for each insemination to maintain hygiene and effectiveness. Its adviced to use atleast 4-6 months for desirable results and before looking for other options
If there is light spotting or mild bleeding after using the Nory IVI catheter, is it dangerous?
Spotting or mild bleeding after using the Nory IVI catheter is extremely rare. The catheter is ultra-soft, smooth, flexible, and non-traumatic, specially designed to ensure gentle insertion without causing any injury or irritation to the vaginal or cervical walls. Because of its medical-grade softness and rounded tip, the chance of bleeding is much lower compared to other insemination devices available in the market. In very few cases, especially in women with vaginismus or increased vaginal sensitivity, minor spotting may occur due to slight contact with the delicate vaginal lining during insertion. This is harmless and self-limiting, usually settling on its own within a few hours. Clinical literature also notes that even more invasive fertility procedures like intrauterine insemination (IUI) can occasionally cause spotting. Since intravaginal insemination (IVI) with the Nory IVI catheter is much less invasive, such cases are exceptionally rare (<0.5%). Summary: 1. Frequency – Extremely rare (<0.5% of users). Cause – Minor surface irritation during insertion. 2. Risk level – Very low and temporary. 3. Tip – Use gentle insertion technique and fertility-friendly Nory lubricant for maximum comfort.
